DAN PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
When you become a DAN instructor you help build a better trained and skill-equipped diving community. You can develop a highly qualified dive staff, increase your business and show your customers you are committed to safety.

Providing first aid training can help you generate off-season business and diversify your revenue stream. Reaching out to your community at large and teaching them first aid prepares the members of your community to act in an emergency, and it is a great way to introduce them to the world of scuba diving.

After meeting additional prerequisites, you may become a DAN Instructor Trainer. Advance your diving career and help other dive professionals advance theirs by conducting DAN Instructor Qualification Courses.
Why Become a DAN Instructor?
BLS CPR FA INSTRUCTOR
This fundamental course prepares you to teach the provider level care for life-threatening illnesses or injuries until professional emergency medical care is available. The life-support skills taught in this course include one-person CPR, use of automatic external defibrillators, bleeding management, assisting a choking victim and responding to a person in shock. The first aid skills you will teach include conducting secondary assessments, splinting and responding to medical emergencies. This course is also approved by the U.S. Coast Guard as meeting the CPR and first aid requirements for captain and mate licenses.
EMERGENCY O2 INSTRUCTOR
Learn to teach the DAN Emergency Oxygen for Scuba Diving Injuries course. You will instruct students how to administer life-saving oxygen first aid to divers who may be suffering from decompression illness (DCI). Additionally, this course teaches how to recognize the signs and symptoms of decompression illness and respond to them accordingly. The emergency response skills taught in this course are not unique to scuba diving; they’re applicable to many other watersports and other activities.
DFA PRO FULL SUITE INSTRUCTOR
Becoming a DFA Pro Instructor enables you to teach all elements of the DAN BLS and EO2 courses and adds the Neurological Assessment and First Aid for Hazardous Marine Life Injuries courses to the offering. DFA Pro is the most comprehensive first aid course in the dive industry. While geared towards dive instructors and Divemasters, anyone, even non-divers, will learn an indispensable set of first aid and risk-mitigation skills. This course is a perfect add-on for Diver Rescue training for a more comprehensive learning experience.
